Hellraiser

I'm the lead concept designer on the new Hellraiser (2022) movie now available on Hulu.  It was another great time working with director David Bruckner (The Ritual, The Night House).  

I'm going to post some of the design work here, but if you haven't seen the movie on Hulu, I highly recommend seeing it first if you can (I think streaming availability outside the US is still being sorted out).  You can watch the trailer here.

The Ritual on Netflix

The Ritual just released today on Netflix.  You can check it out HERE.  Once it's been out for a while I'll start showing all the design work and art that went into it.

The upcoming movie The Ritual has my design work in it (including the big spooky thing responsible for all the happenings).

Looks like it's showing October 13th in the UK.  It's been bought by Netflix, so still not sure on what distribution in other territories will be like.

Pacific Rim Screening

Just got back from the cast and crew screening of Pacific Rim.  Guillermo Del Toro's love of the theatre experience is such a part of the fabric of the movie, it really deserves to be seen in a theatre setting.  It's an awesome movie, very proud to be a part of it.

It looks like my Pacific Rim Russian futurist style propaganda poster is one of the posters that comes with the art book. It's the one on the right.

Art Print Props

Here's a look at the art prints available from my website used as props in the movie
Don't be Afraid of the Dark.  

In their context, they're illustrations made in 1909 by the movie's artist, Blackwood.  They're maddened ruminations on his son's abduction by fairies.

This was the first version of the fairy depiction.  I was going for something very mysterious, as though the artist had only half glimpsed what they looked like (the earlier depictions of the fairies in this series hadn't been made yet.)  In the end it was modified to more closely match the actual creature designs I worked on that went into the movie.  The final version of the illustration can be seen in the last screenshot below.
