The Four Horsemen

And I saw when the uniformed man opened one of the files, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four monitors saying "Come and see." I saw, and behold on the screen was a white horse: and he that sat on him had a rifle; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
And when he had opened the second file, I heard the second monitor say, Come and see.
And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great missile.
And when he had opened the third file, I heard the third monitor say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four screens say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of rice for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the coal.
And when he had opened the fourth file, I heard the voice of the fourth monitor say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and nuclear fire followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with bullet, and with hunger, and with death, and with the infernal machines of man.

  1. the theme of Apocalypse this is great theme for art - theme can give many other concepts and views for image. Awesome idea - modern views

  2. This is probably my new favourite piece of your work. The imagery of scientist with hands clasped in prayer, and soldier with knife at the ready as instruments of the apocalypse is so rad.

  3. My favourite part is probably the seraphim wings in the background, the cavorting skeletons (very Danse Macabre), and the praying scientist. Especially the latter. Brilliant piece as always!

  5. I seeing stuff like this almost makes me regret how totally unambitious i was with concept art. its fitting, awesome, and well deserved that you've gotten to the point where you're working alongside visionaries like del toro/barlowe/davis etc. i get so wrapped up in my pet movies like Dune and Alien -that also benefitted hugely from a wide array of concept artists- that i forget that collaborations like that can still happen in this day and age.what is career transition

I do not mean that in the most commonplace use of that phrase, but that I am in awe of this piece.
