Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark - Trailer

Here's a new trailer for a movie I designed on:
This trailer has some nice shots of the creatures, and also some shots of my actual artwork itself (a mural and some period illustrations.)  It should be coming out late August, and I'll post more details about it soon.

  1. This might well be the first horror film I dare to see in the cinema (I'm an enormous coward). I love the thought of seeing some of your design in a live-action film.

  2. Oh yes! A Del Toro film?! I am seriously jealous, haha. Way to go, can't wait to see it!

  3. We designed the whole thing as PG-13, so there's nothing in it content wise that should exceed that. However, apparently it ended up so scary that they stuck an R rating on it just for that reason.

  5. I saw this movie today. you did a great job. This movie is awesome. Very art focused all around. How much art of yours is in this book? http://www.amazon.com/Guillermo-Del-Toro-Blackwoods-Dangerous/dp/142313401X

  6. I have to say, I loved your artwork in the film. The Blackwood mural and sketches were amazing.

  7. Ha! I thought that art looked familiar. I had no idea you were responsible for it but I'm pleased you were. The movie was wonderful and totally deserves the R-rating. I'm a 28 year old woman who loves horror movies and it still scared the crap out of me.

  8. @Heble
The cover (the mural) and the art on left hand pages (all the Blackwood drawings from the movie) are my work. All the ink illustrations on right hand pages are Troy Nixey's own awesome art.
